HOERBIGER Service Inc. completes acquisition of The Revak Companies

Effective January 2nd, 2008, HOERBIGER Service Inc., the leading compressor services company in North America, acquired The Revak Companies. Revak specializes in the rerate, repair and service of turbo machinery used in the refining, petrochemical & process industries.

The Revak Companies, located on 19 acres in 100,000 sq/ft facilities in La Porte, TX consist of five business entities.

Revak Turbo Machinery Services is the largest independent rotating equipment full service company, offering engineering, design, rerate and service for steam and gas turbines, centrifugal and screw compressors, blowers, fans, pumps and gearboxes.

L-Mart International has an extensive stock of new and surplus OEM, and reconditioned turbomachinery parts.

Revak Precision Bearings repairs and manufactures cylindrical and tilt pad bearings for all types of machinery. It has an extensive parts inventory and offers experienced manufacturing and repair capabilities.

Turbo Storage Service Company offers 24-hour service and provides secure, humidity-controlled short and long-term storage for critical equipment. Heavy pieces are capably handled with a 35 ton overhead crane capacity. Preventive maintenance services are also available for stored equipment.

Revak Controls has been selling, repairing and customizing governors and control systems for more than a decade and is a Woodward-authorized independent service facility.

The integration of the business is being guided by a best practices approach with HOERBIGER’s Bryan Stewart managing the integration along with Revak’s Lendell Keene. Mr. Keene will be continuing in his role as Vice President and General Manager, while Tom Revak, Bob Angel, John Whitworth, Fred Higginbotham, Ron Holcomb and Linda Keene will continue in their current leadership roles. Lynn Revak will fill a key position as Worldwide Business Development Manager for the Turbo Machinery.

Revak will continue to operate under the name Revak Turbo Machinery Company, a division of HOERBIGER Service Inc. from its current location in La Porte, Texas.
